THE CRMC is gearing up for a host of new classic racing newcomers as it announces the return of its novice programme for 2020.
And there are a few handy perks on offer to those donning an orange vest with the club this season.
Open to any Novice or Intermediate Novice licence holders having their first race with the club, the programme entitles riders to a free entry to one set of races in one event of a normal race programme at their first CRMC meeting (insurance costs still apply), with normal entry fees thereafter.
As well as a guide pack to racing, the paddock and the club, new riders can take advantage of the Buddy Scheme, where they are pair up with experienced riders to help them transition smoothly into racing.
Along with Friday evening track walks with fellow CRMC riders led by experienced competitors, rookies also gain automatic entry into the Novice Championship, a series for all novices regardless of class.
