Wirral 100: Jackson bags 100-500cc Allcomers and Junior Open titles at Anglesey

In News, Wirral 100

ANDY Jackson celebrated two championship wins as the Wirral 100 club headed back to Anglesey for its fourth round of the year.

With a round still to run, Jackson became the club’s only rider to clinch titles before the final meeting, as he lifted the 100-500cc Allcomers and Anglesey Junior Open crowns.

Jackson had initially planned to sit this round out due to it being so close to the Manx GP, but thanks to the Falcon Electrical Southport team, he was able to get out on the Honda RS125 to try and boost his championship leads.

However, it was a somewhat depleted grid for the 100-500cc Allcomers races and Jackson had no problem grabbing pole by almost two seconds before taking all four wins to claim the first of his new titles.

Despite being beaten to the chequered flag in both Anglesey Junior Races – Mike Bampton in the first and Marcus Simpson in the second – his two second places were enough to give him an unassailable points lead, handing him his second championship of the day.
