Towers and Edgeley start on front row at Aragon

JONNY Towers and Nick Edgeley have powered to a second place start for this afternoon’s European Classic Series endurance finale at Aragon.

After throwing in a sick note last weekend at the Thundersport finale, much to the disappointment of his mate Ryan Farquhar, Supertwin champ Towers took on a race to full fitness as he knew he and Team Edge RST compatriot Edgeley still had a point to prove on their XR69 Suzuki classic bike this weekend.

Edgeley, who also missed Donington to sneak in some extra testing at the Spanish circuit, clearly took advantage of the additional track time as he and Towers chalked up strong combined laps that mean they are sandwiched on the start between pole sitters Team Alfs and Sweatshop Phase One.

“We are super please to be starting second, it’s ace and we’ve definitely no complaints, ” he told UK Clubsport last night. “Let’s see what we can do!”
