Tonfanau bosses axe Round One

In Crewe & South Cheshire, News, Tonfanau

TONFANAU Road Racing chiefs have taken heed of warnings for Easter Weekend weather conditions and cancelled their first round of the year.

The decision was taken as a result of Met Office forecasts for the first bank holiday weekend of the year.

A statement from club officials reads:

It is with regret that the Crewe and South Cheshire club has decided to cancel the Easter Sunday meeting at Tonfanau.

This decision was made because the grass land is already very waterlogged and the seven day Met Office forecast is for heavy rain, sleet and snow.

All competitors will, of course, receive a full refund.
