BRITISH Superbike racer Tommy Bridewell is set to appear at the Castle Combe Grand National after pledging his support for the event.
The Devizes rider will join the likes of Leon Haslam, Peter Hickman, Ian Hutchinson, Freddie Spencer and Steve Parrish at his local track’s annual late summer bash over the weekend September 1-2.
A past winner of the Grand National himself, Bridewell is set to pilot Phil Morris’s ex James Ellison PBM MotoGP for several demonstration laps during the weekend, which forms part of NG Road Racing’s championship season.
“With Castle Combe being my local track, I’ve always had a great relationship with the people here, so I was delighted to accept the invite to come along and be part of the show,” he said.
“ As well as meeting the fans, I’m hoping to get a few laps on the Aprilia MotoGP machine as I’ve never ridden one so I’m really looking forward to the opportunity, but it will be different to my BSB-spec Moto Rapido Ducati for sure.”
