Thundersport GB releases new-look GP2 Supertwin regs

THUNDERSPORT GB execs have unveiled their hot-off-the-press Supertwin regulations for 2019, which could significantly shake up the paddock next season.

Bosses announced back in September that the class would receive a vigorous stir for the new year as they attempted to mix things up and stand out.

And now, regulations are open for public consumption.

Among the changes are a new set of weight limits for both single-cylinder and twin machinery of different capacities, permission for slick tyres and an increase in maximum displacement for twins to 700cc while the maximum for singles drops from 800 to 750cc.

Chassis regulations are now free, bar a ban on titanium and carbon fibre.
