Thompson seeking ride after WH Racing split

In News, Roads

RISING roads star Joey Thompson is now on the hunt for a ride for the 2019 season after he and the WH Racing Team revealed their split today.

Thompson had announced he’d struck a deal with the Northumberland-based squad late last year for a full campaign of road racing and short circuit action, from the Isle of Man TT to British Supersport wildcards.

But in a shock split, the two have gone their separate ways.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, WH Racing Team and Joey Thompson have parted company ahead of the 2019 season,” WH Racing bosses said.

“We would like to thank Joey and wish him all of the very best of luck in his career.”

This leaves Thompson on the hunt for a team with just weeks remaining before planned testing ahead of the season.

“Unfortunately this is a very big set back at a critical point in my career and I am without a ride for the coming season,” he said.

“I have to thank everyone at WH Racing and I wish them the best of success. Hopefully something comes up soon.”
