Southern 100 VP Ron Kitching has died

In Roads, Southern 100

CLUB chiefs at Southern 100 Racing have announced that one of their Vice Presidents, Ron Kitching, died yesterday.

Since becoming involved in the races in 1967, Ron had been a dedicated S100 member, joining the Club Committee in 1982 before taking on Assistant Chief Marshal duties seven years laters.

While he stepped into the role of Official Car Driver, Ron is perhaps best remembered for for his time as the Finishing Flag Marshal.

He was appointed a Vice President of Southern 100 Racing in 2012 for services to the club and Billown Course action.

UK Clubsport wishes to pass on its condolences to Ron’s family and friends.
