Sidecar Bash to host memorial lap for Barry James

In News

SIDECAR racers are planning a lap of honour this weekend at Cadwell Park’s Sidecar Bash in memory of Bemsee F1 Sidecar Champion Barry James.

The Difuria Contractors LCR Kawasaki driver tragically died this week after being involved in a road traffic accident on his way to work.

Tributes immediately began to pour in for the Retford man, and now fellow sidecar racers and friends have both launched a Go Fund Me campaign and created fundraising decals with a view to help support his family.

James and passenger Jack Tritton all but dominated the BMCRC’s premier outfit class this season, clinching the RKB F1 title a round early at Cadwell last month before scoring a victorious hat-trick at Snetterton just over a fortnight ago.

Decals can be purchased from John Lowther or Hayley Capewell this weekend. Those interested in taking part in the memorial lap are asked to meet in the assembly area when lunch is called at the Sidecar Bash this Sunday.

UK Clubsport wishes to extend its condolences to Barry’s family and friends.
