Rising Star of 2018: Ross Maguire

In Awards

SCOTTISH star Ross Maguire has edged to the top of the polls to bag this year’s UK Clubsport Rising Star award.

Last year’s Formula 125 ace reigned supreme in nearly every outing at Knockhill and East Fortune to take both Melville titles as well as the KMSC crown.

Maguire squeezed ahead of Thundersport GB Superteens champion Harry Leigh in the polls with 19.1 per cent of the nearly 2500 votes to the latter’s 16.8 per cent.

And it won’t be the last prize the two battle for as they’re both set to face off with a host of other up-and-comers on this year’s British Talent Cup¬†grid.

The top five in the public votes weren’t far behind Maguire and Leigh, with 15.2 per cent going to early-season Superteens star Louis Rendell, 13.9 to Bemsee Team Green Junior Cup champ Owen Jenner and 13.8 to Northern Ireland’s Cameron Dawson.
