PDMCC: Aspin takes titles as Sailor and Leatham double up

In News, PDMCC

SIMON Aspin has secured the Pre Injection and Steel Frame championships a round early despite missing out on wins this weekend at Three Sisters.

While Andrew Sailor and James Leatham swept both classes with two wins apiece, Aspin had enough points in hand with three seconds and a third to put both hands on the trophies.

Leatham was the steelie rider to beat in the Ian Hosker Steel Frame races, taking the first a mere 0.047s ahead of Brian Bates before beating Aspin to the line by some two seconds in race two as Kieran Jackson bagged a podium finish.

But it was Sailor on his Yamaha R6 who took both Pre Injection wins, leading Aspin lights-to-flag to cross the line three and five seconds clear of the champ, while Leatham and Jake Sailor split thirds.
