LEE Crawford and Scott Hardie drew first blood today as they decimated the field in the opening BDS Motorcycles F2 Sidecar race of the Spring Cup.

The Team ARC duo, who qualified on pole by 6.353sec earlier today, were quickest off the line and had almost four seconds to work with ahead of Conrad Harrison and Andy Winkle after just one lap of six.

Crawford and Hardie continued to pull ahead, pushing their gap to 10sec at the end of lap two and 16sec at the end of lap three as Steve and Matty Ramsden slotted ahead of Harrison and Winkle before John Lowther and Matthew Rostron pipped the latter for third.

And after just six laps, stretching an advantage of 26.660sec, British F2 championship leaders Crawford and Hardie crossed the line to add another win to their victory tally at Scarborough with the Ramsdens and Lowther/Rostron rounding out the podium.
