NORTH West 200 chiefs have revealed their race dates for 2020 as Mervyn White reveals he will remain in place as boss for at least another year.

Next season’s Triangle Circuit meeting will mark his 20th in the role of Event Director, a position which he admitted he is relishing as he hopes to push the races into the future.

“I have been asked by the committee of Coleraine and District Motor Club to stay on as Event Director for next year and have agreed to do so.” Whyte explained.

“I am looking forward to the challenge as the Club continues to plan for the future with a process in place that will be adopted when I do step down.”

This year marked the 90th anniversary of the North West 200, where Glenn Irwin, Peter Hickman, James Hillier, Jeremy McWilliams and Davey Todd were all among the race winners as Stefano Bonetti also became the first Italian victor.

The 2020 International North West 200 race week festival will run between 10 and 16 May, 2020, with the main race day set to run on Saturday, 16 May.
