CHIEFS at NG Road Racing have made the call to cancel their season finale at Pembrey amid a rising coronavirus case count in the area.
With the UK set to be dealt new restrictions courtesy of the Prime Minister’s announcement, due this evening, racers will now battle for the last of the 2020 points at Castle Combe this month.
Action at Welsh circuits has been on and off this season with Wirral 100 riders not turning a wheel this year and a number of events already cancelled at Pembrey including, most recently the CRMC’s Race of the Year.
A statement from NG Road Racing reads:
In response to the increase in areas being placed under lock down particularly in South Wales, BARC Pembrey and NG Road Racing have taken the difficult decision to cancel the test day and race weekend previously scheduled for 9th 10th 11th October.
Castle Combe, scheduled to run this coming weekend, will become the club’s final round of 2020.
