Premier League Top Goalscorer Odds

The Premier League Golden Boot is the most straightforward award in England as it is not based on voting. Rather, it simply goes to the player with the most goals scored during the league season.
This in no case means that it is easy to become the Premier League top goalscorer. Last season, for example, Harry Kane finished second despite netting 30 goals. The award went to Erling Haaland instead who scored 36 times in 35 appearances in his debut season in the Premier League!
Predicting the next Premier League Golden Boot has generally not been an easy task, but we can refer to the Premier League top goalscorer odds to see who are viewed as the favourites by the bookmakers.
Premier League Top Goalscorer Betting List
As far as the Premier League top goalscorer betting odds go, Erling Haaland sits comfortably above the competition. The full list includes several past Premier League Golden Boot winners.

Erling Haaland
When Erling Haaland only moved to Manchester City, there were certain doubts about his ability to adapt to Premier League football quickly. However, the striker responded by having his best season to date and scoring a record 36 Premier League goals in 35 appearances, thus being named top goalscorer for the 2022/23 season.
The Norwegian has started the 2023/24 league campaign in style, bagging six goals in the opening four games. Haaland has shown no signs of slowing down although there is one thing to worry about – the 23-year-old is rather injury-prone. The 2022/23 season was the first in Haaland's career that he played more than 30 league games, and he needs to do his best to stay healthy if he is to be the Premier League top goalscorer for a second year in a row.
Mohamed Salah
Only Thierry Henry has won more Premier League Golden Boots than Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool winger was the league’s top goalscorer in 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2021/22. And before Haaland, the record for the most goals in a single Premier League season belonged to Salah, as the Egypt international netted 32 times in 36 games back in 2017/18.
Salah didn’t have a poor year in 2022/23 as he contributed with 19 goals in 38 matches. Nevertheless, it still was his worst season since arriving at Anfield, with the poorer-than-regular output explained by Liverpool’s overall dip in performances.
The Reds bolstered their squad over the summer and will hope for a better 2023/24 campaign – Salah has been in decent form too, scoring twice in the first four league games.
Heung-min Son
Heung-min Son is another player that knows what winning the Premier League Golden Boot means. In the 2021/22 season, the new Tottenham Hotspur captain netted 23 times in 35 matches and shared the award with Mo Salah. Last year, though, the South Korea international scored just 10 goals for Spurs, but given the team’s overall performances, those were decent numbers.
However, the fans are in the right to expect a better result from Son this year for two reasons. Firstly, new coach Ange Postecoglou’s attacking football is better suited for the 31-year-old forward and his scoring ambitions. And second, with Harry Kane now at Bayern Munich, Son has become the main man in Spurs’ attack.
He’s already had a great start to the campaign with three goals in four league matches.
Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus is not your typical target man, you should not cross the ball towards him in the box or expect him on the rebound. The Brazilian is more about making smart runs to engage the defenders or combining with the wingers and midfielders. His playing style and the fact that he never was an undisputed starter at Manchester City has meant that his best scoring record in the Premier League was the 14 goals in 34 appearances in 2019/20.
Last season, the 27-year-old scored 11 times in 26 league games for Arsenal. We have to keep in mind that Gabriel Jesus missed a significant portion of the games due to injury. This term, the striker has only played two games off the bench for the Gunners (scoring one goal) because of a new injury. If Gabriel Jesus doesn’t find the needed consistency, there is no chance he becomes the Premier League top goalscorer in 2023/24.
Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford is another player that has never won the Premier League Golden Boot. His two best seasons were in 2019/20 and 2022/23 when he scored 17 league goals, although it wasn’t enough to finish even in the top three. However, Rashford is coming off an amazing year where he recorded 30 goals in 56 matches across all competitions, his best record to date.
For the 25-year-old to become the Premier League top goalscorer in 2023/24, he needs Manchester United to be up to par. The Red Devils, though, have struggled at the start of the campaign losing twice in four games. For the forward this has meant only one goal so far – in the loss to Arsenal right before the international break.
So, both Marcus individually and Man United as a team need to pick up the pace if the English international wants to win his first Premier League Golden Boot this year.
