Al Nassr struggled at the start of the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League campaign, losing the two opening matches. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team improved significantly in the following weeks and are currently on a five-game winning streak.

However, their 15 points are still not quite enough to land them in the top four, so a win against Al Tai away on Friday is a must if they want to keep up with the title race. The game kicks off at 6 pm local time.

In our Al Tai vs Al Nassr tips, we expect a high-scoring game that will end in a win for the visitors.

Goal in both halves? Yes

Despite ranking only fifth in the standings, Al Nassr have the best attack in the Saudi Pro League with 22 goals in seven matches. Cristiano Ronaldo, of course, has played a crucial contribution here as he is the league top goal scorer, having netted nine times in six appearances.

Al Nassr, coached by Luis Castro, should be able to take advantage of Al Tai’s poor defence. After all, the home side has conceded 12 goals in their seven matches so far and have one of the worst goal differences in the league at -6. An Nassr backline is not impenetrable either as they have allowed nine goals so far.

So, in line with our expectations of a high-scoring game, Paddy Power offers 1.44 odds on at least a goal in both halves on Friday.

Over 3.5 goals

Following the same line of thought, Paddy Power’s odds on over 3.5 goals in the match stand at 2.25. Although this part of our Al Tai vs Al Nassr tips is riskier, there are solid reasons to believe that we will see at least four goals.

The first reason is Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible run of form as the Portuguese has scored in all of his most recent five appearances in the Saudi Pro League. Second is Al Nassr’s impressive attacking line, as in addition to the five time Ballon d’Or winner, they also have the likes of Sadio Mane and Talisca. Finally, there is the rather weak defence on both sides which will likely result in an abundance of scoring chances.

Al Nassr to win both halves

Although we can imagine Al Tai scoring against Al Nassr, the visitors are clearly superior both in terms of squad resources and form – unlike Al Nassr, Al Tai did not make any star signings over the summer. So, if the home side scores once, Cristiano Ronaldo & co should be able to retaliate with at least a couple of goals in the same half.

After a poor start, Castro’s team showed its full potential last week when they defeated a solid Al Ahli side 4-3 at home. Against Al Tai, Al Nassr should be motivated to fare even better now that they are just three points away from the first spot. Thus, we believe that there is a decent chance that Al Nassr will win both halves against Al Tai. Paddy Power offers 1.62 odds on it happening.
