Al Nassr, the Saudi Arabian football powerhouse, will face off against Al Khaleej in the second semifinal of the King’s Cup. Both teams have been in decent form lately, with Al Nassr securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Al Khaleej in their previous encounter. The match promises to be an exciting affair, as Al Nassr looks to head towards at least one trophy in this season while Al Khaleej aims to pull off an upset and see its first King’s Cup finale in history. The head-to-head record between the two teams, however, favours Al Nassr, who have won 6 of their 9 home matches against Al Khaleej.

Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej Preview

Al Nassr Preview

Al Nassr has been in good form lately, winning their last six consecutive matches in the Saudi Pro League, with the only upset happening in the semifinal of the Super Cup, where the team lost to Al Hilal. The most recent round of the league saw Al Nassr winning over Al Khaleej (0-1) which can be seen as a sort of rehearsal for the upcoming clash. As for the Cup road, Al Nassr faced a formidable challenge only in the match of 1/8, where the team managed to snatch a victory from Al Ettifaq only in extra time. In other matches, comfortable wins over Ohod (1-5) and Al Shabab (2-5) were secured.

Al Khaleej Preview

Al Khaleej has been in decent form lately, picking up some important points in their recent matches. The team has been solid defensively, conceding only a few goals in their last games. If not taking the match against Al Hilal (1-4), Al Khaleej conceded only 2 goals in the last 4 matches, which is pretty impressive for the team from the bottom part of the standings. The cup’s campaign was also consistent, however, Al Khaleej was lucky with the opponents - the team got to the semifinals after winning over Al Adalah (2-0), Damac (2-1, after penalties), and Abha (2-1). All of these teams do not represent the elite and the real challenge will come only at the stage of semifinals. Pedro Emanuel has already mentioned that he will be looking to set his team up in a compact defensive shape, with the aim of frustrating Al Nassr and hitting them on the counter-attack.

Betting Tips for Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej

Al Nassr to Win

It seems that the final of the King’s Cup will see another battle between Al Hilal and Al Nassr, given that the best teams of Saudi Arabia are slowly moving towards another finale clash. Al Nassr is the obvious choice for a favourite in the upcoming match, given its depth of squad, class of the players, and recent results. Al Khaleej did not face any serious opposition on its way to the semifinals and it is unlikely that the team will be ready to overcome Luis Castro’s men.

Total Goals Under 3.5

Al Khaleej has shown a decent defensive display recently, having conceded a lot only from Al Hilal. The recent match between the two showed that Pedro Emanuel knows his job when it comes to building a defensive team that can potentially rely on counterattacks. Al Nassr was able to secure a minimal advantage of one goal, as a result. In general, the matches between Al Nassr and Al Khaleej do not produce a lot of goals, with more than 3 goals scored has been seen only once in the 10-match history of the head-to-head matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo To Score at Any Time

Since his hat trick against Abha, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't scored for three consecutive matches in all tournaments, making this the second longest series of matches without a goal since March 2023. Coming back after the disqualification, Ronaldo had several chances against Al Khaleej in a recent clash but couldn’t manage to convert them into goals. This time, the 39-old Portuguese will do its best to score at least once.
