National Breakthrough Star: Jodie Fieldhouse

In Awards, News

LADY racer Jodie Fieldhouse has taken a landslide victory in the public votes to win UK Clubsport’s National Breakthrough Star award.

The 19-year-old kept her hand in the clubs with outings at EMRA and NG Road Racing events last year, but was mainly kept busy with her debut season in the British Motostar Standard class.

Fieldhouse, who ended 2018 with a few top-10 finishes in the BSB support series, dominated the polls with a whopping 42.3 per cent of the votes.

British Junior Supersport champ Eunan McGlinchey, who just 18 months ago was giving Supertwin supremo Jonny Towers a run for his money on his Production Twin, took second with 19.8 per cent.

Top-7 National Superstock 1000 finisher Paul McClung finished third with 13.7, while Ducati TriOptions Cup top-four man Joe Morphett bagged fourth with 6.7.
