AT LEAST six GSX-R125 wheels were reported to have collapsed as a result of Freetech Endurance action at Whilton Mill.
As part of today’s two four-hour scraps at the season-opening round, a number of Suzuki-mounted teams suffered rim failures with spokes shearing on both the front and rear of some bikes.
Team Fast ‘n’ Loud was the latest victim with a front wheel breakage (seen above and below) in the final hour of race two this afternoon, but at least two other teams reported problems of their own.

The Full 180 Racing’s Lee Rance said he broke two wheels today in addition to one at last week’s Whilton Mill test day.

And with just under 90 minutes remaining in the second race, the live stream revealed that Factory Suzuki Racing had also suffered a front spoke breakage as the bike was nursed into the pits for a wheel swap.
UK Clubsport has contacted Suzuki for comment.
The highest finishing GSX-R125 today was that of Team Mechlam who bagged the race two win ahead of Marvel HCL Motorsport and another Suzuki of Team Brenda.
