Mathison, Daley, Herbertson to star in NYRRSC event

In News, Roads

ROAD racers Daley Mathison, Josh Daley and Dominic Herbertson are set to headline the North Yorkshire Road Racing Supporters Club’s fourth chat show of the year.

The Northallerton-based organisation, who regularly welcome the likes of World Superbike Champions Neil Hodgson and Colin Edwards, have already in 2017 played host to roadies Dan Hegarty and Gary Johnson, as well as a number of short circuit standouts including local British and National Championship racers Elliot Lodge and Chrissy Rouse.

On Tuesday, April 25, the NYRRSC will hold an ‘Up And Coming Road Racers’ night featuring three of the sport’s rising talents from around the North.

Reigning MotoE European Champion and Isle of Man TT Zero podium finisher Mathison, who will be fresh off his first road outing of the year at Oliver’s Mount for the Bob Smith Spring Cup, looks to have it all to play for this season with backing from transportation and logistics moguls Eddie Stobart.

A regular at Scarborough since the tender age of 14, the Stockton family man last saw the podium in North Yorkshire at 2016’s Cock O’ The North Road Races, and with a continued run of successes in the near past, he’ll be looking to continue form.

British Supersport frequenter Daley, fresh off a top-ten-in-class qualifying at the championship’s opening round at Donington Park, has a full short circuit campaign planned this season along with a TT return and an Ulster Grand Prix debut.

After his best ever go around the Mountain Course, Northumberland’s Herbertson joins the WH Racing Team for a second year on the trot.

Equipped with 1000cc, 600cc and Supertwin machinery, the Hexhamite will be looking to better his Supersport and Senior top-20 finishes on the 37.73-mile circuit, as well as attack the other International Road Race meetings and select Irish National events.

More information can be found at the NYRRSC website and on the event flyer.
