ENTRIES for the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT are now officially open, and event chiefs are fully expecting another year brimmed with action.

Along with stars and past winners, who are set to return to the MGP thanks to eligibility rule changes within the Manx Motor Cycle Club, a fresh batch of rookies have already submitted their interest.

The club has planned two newcomer weekends, this Friday to Sunday, March 15 to 17, and March 29 to 31, but the first has already been completely booked up.

Among a host of other requirements, newbies will need to have raked in at least six signatures from meetings between 1 June 2018 and 30 June 2019, with at least two from this season. A handy rookie’s guide to the Manx is available on the entry info page.

The MGP’s full programme of classes are back again this year, including the Ultra Lightweight, where we’re still waiting to see the the first Supersport 300 rider take on the Mountain Course.

Entries for the Festival of Motorcycling’s other half, the Classic TT, are also now being accepted and as with last year, the event is set to feature some of the Isle of Man TT’s top talents and returning title holders, including Dean Harrison, Michael Rutter, Dominic Herbertson and more.
