Hospital nurse calls on riders to help with coronavirus management

In News

A NURSE at a Northern Ireland hospital has called on the bike and sidecar racing community to aid the fight against Covid-19 by lending equipment to medical staff.

Eileen Donnelly, a nurse at Craigavon Hospital in County Armagh, has asked the racing fraternity to help out as hospital workers look to borrow pop-ups to serve as temporary changing stations for them to don their protective gear.

Her message reads: “To all my motorbike/sidecar friends: As you all know I’m a nurse in Craigavon hospital. We need to borrow some marquees for the nurses and medics to change in and out of their protective gear. If any of you can help us please get in touch.”

Marquees are needed for four sites including Craigavon, Daisy Hill, South Tyrone and Lurgan. Anyone who can help is asked to message Eileen on Facebook
