DEAN Harrison will be back at his old stomping ground of Oliver’s Mount as he joins the list of star riders set to do battle at the Barry Sheene Classic.
The Silicone Engineering ace is gearing up to throw his hat in the ring for the Classic Superbike scraps aboard his team’s ZXR750, with which he won at last year’s Classic TT.
Dean, who was the last big winner to hit the event when the Scarborough races were called off back at the end of 2017, says he’s delighted to be returning to his home circuit and add to his tally of wins and multiple class lap records.
“I used to go as a lad with my dad, even my grandad raced at Oliver’s Mount,” he admitted.
“It was always a family outing, fish and chips on the seafront after the racing. I love the place and can’t wait the get back to my local track.”
A number of other star riders are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
