Get your Southern 100 fix on telly this week

In News, Roads, Southern 100

SUFFERING with road racing withdrawal? Fear not – you can get your fix with a dose of Southern 100 action this week.

This year’s Billown battles may have been called off, but Eurosport 2 will be broadcasting last year’s races to keep you going.

On May 6 and 7 you can relive the 2019 meeting as Bradford star Dean Harrison dominated the proceedings in the solo classes.

With Jamie Coward, Michael Dunlop, Dom Herbertson and Ryan Kneen to keep Harrison honest, the event kept crowds on their toes.

And in the three-wheeled ranks, Tim Reeves, John Holden and the Founds brothers left it all out on the track, gunning for the glory of the sidecar championship.

Eurosport 2 UK is transmitting part one on Wednesday 6 May at 18.30 and part two on Thursday 7 May at 14.30.

The full programmes will be repeated on Wednesday 20 May at 19.00 and 20.00.

Next year’s Southern 100 Road Races are set to run from July 12-15, 2021.
