Entries nearing triple figures for Pre TT Classic Road Races

CLASSIC riders are already queuing up for entry to the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races as numbers continue to grow.

Despite early doubts about international entries while insurance decisions were made, it looks all clear as Southern 100 Club chiefs look to their first race of the season.

The Junior 350cc race is at present the most popular with 22 riders entered, while the Senior 500cc and Singles 350/250cc sit second and third with 19 and 18 respectively.

“Although entries for the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races don’t close until the end of April, it is an encouraging start to receive so many entries within the first 10 days of entries being available,” said Race Secretary George Peach.

“The Classics have always been popular on the Billown Course since they were introduced in 1988 and they provide some excellent, close racing not for the feint-hearted.

“We look forward to seeing a full Paddock once again this year, as seems likely from the early response.”
