LEE Crawford and Scott Hardie scored four wins from four to sweep the sidecar races as outfits descended on Mallory Park en masse.
The duo led the A group all weekend to take a clean sweep while George Holden and Oscar Lawrence shared the Sidecar B group spoils with Steve and Matty Ramsden as well as Rupert Archer and Steve Thomas.
With nearly 40 outfits lined up to race, it was Team ARC’s Crawford and Hardie who scorched to pole position by nearly two seconds as Conrad Harrison and Andy Winkle lined up second ahead of John Lowther and Tom Christie, with Sean Hegarty and James Neave completing row two.
When the lights went out, it was the pole-sitters’ race to lose as the pair rocketed off the front row and cruised to a 4.657sec win with Harrison and Winkle bagging the runner-up spot just a couple seconds clear of Hegarty and Neave.
It was more of the same for Crawford and Hardie in races two and three as Hegarty and Neave took two seconds from Harrison and Winkle, before the lead pair completed their clean sweep with a fourth win from four in the final as Lowther and Christie took their first podium of the weekend.
Holden and Lawrence looked the be the men to beat in the B group as they powered to pole almost 2.5sec ahead of the Ramsdens, and after a DNF in the opening race while the Ramsdens took victory, the two made good with a double in races two and three, dominating over David Schofield/Guy Pawsey and Chris Schofield/Ray Whitnall in the first before beating the Ramsdens and Archer/Thomas in race two.
But with another DNF in race four, Holden and Lawrence were denied a hat-trick as Archer and Thomas took the win five seconds ahead of Paul Kirby/Thomas Graves and Craig Goodier/Mark Stone.
