MICHAEL Dunlop will return to action at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 next month as he confirms his bid for more race wins.
Star of the recent Armoy road races, the Ballymoney man – who last raced on the Orritor Circuit in 2018 – is set to compete in both the 600cc Supersport and the Open scraps as he takes to his own MD Racing Yamaha as well as TAS Racing’s SynetiQ BMW.
Dunlop won the 600cc invitational race in 2018 and scored his only ever national road race win at Cookstown in the Supertwins race in 2015, but has not won the feature Cookstown 100 race since 2013 as he looks to reclaim the crown this year.
With entries full in every single class, spectators are reminded that the meeting is a closed event and no pre-purchased race package will mean no admittance.
The road races will run with practice and three races, time permitting, on Friday September 10 before the remaining races are scheduled to run on Saturday, September 11.
