TEAM Classic Suzuki has revealed its plans to head back to the 2019 Classic TT next month with a three-strong squad led by 19-time Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop.
The four-time Classic TT race winner, who recently returned to winning ways at Armoy after a spill at the Southern 100 left him with a broken pelvis, will join Phil Crowe and Danny Webb in the squad as they prepare for an assault on the RST Superbike TT.
While Dunlop and club hustler Crowe will take on the four-lap scrap with identical GSXR1100 Suzuki-powered XR69s, former Moto3 man Webb will once again have an RG500 at his disposal.
The Ulsterman missed last year’s event but having won the race in 2013, 2015 and again in 2016, the latter where he set his fastest lap of the event so far at 126.808mph, he will start as one of the pre-race favourites as he looks to halt Dean Harrison’s recent dominance and prevent the Silicone Engineering ace’s third successive win.
While Webb looks to better his best sixth place and 121.289mph with a number of years already in TCS colours, Crowe lines up with Steve Wheatman’s crew for the second time and after his near-130mph lap at the TT last year, he’ll be one to watch when action gets underway in just over a fortnight.
