BRITISH Talent Cup graduate Corey Tinker has inked a deal to make his FIM CEV Repsol debut as he joins SIC58 Squadra Corse.
The 15-year-old, who scored a best finish of fourth in last year’s BTC series en route to seventh in the championship, will race under team boss Paolo Simoncelli for 2021 – father of MotoGP’s late Marco Simoncelli.
A graduate of the Team Green Junior Cup and Superteens ranks, Tinker stepped up to the Talent Cup in 2019, finishing 13th in the series before joining GR Motorsport last year and regularly shaking up the top six.
“I would just like to thank Sic58 Squadra Corse and Paolo Simoncelli for this amazing opportunity to ride for them in the ETC for the 2021,” he said.
“I can’t wait for the season to begin and to give it my all.”
Tinker slots into the European Talent Cup team where Aussie Harrison Voight and Italian Mattia Volpi ran in 2020, as the former heads to the Moto3 Junior World Championship while the latter moves to team AGR.
Pandemic pending, the ETC is scheduled to kick off at the end of April at Portugal’s Estoril circuit.
