DEFENDING Sunflower Trophy winner Richard Cooper is set to return to this month’s annual races as he looks to reclaim the crown at Bishopscourt.

The Buildbase Suzuki rider, who stunned fans with pole position, a hat-trick and clean sweep in his circuit debut last year, beat FS-3 Kawasaki’s Danny Buchan and Tyco BMW’s then-BSB rider Michael Laverty to top honours.

This year’s Sunflower Trophy races, which were removed as part of the Ulster SBK championship for 2019, will be the 42nd running and with the current National Superstock 1000 champion in attendance,

Practices will take place for the non-championship meeting on Friday, 25 October , with racing on Saturday 26. More details to follow.
