CHINESE firm CFMOTO is set to debut its new 700cc machine this season with an eye on the No Limits Racing Twins title.
The Asian manufacturer, which claimed a fourth place finish in the 2016 IOMTT Lightweight race with Gary Johnson, returns to action in an official capacity after a short absence.
With a 700cc powerplant from its new 700CL-X model, CFMOTO – now sponsors of both the Super and Standard Twins classes – will take on the twins categories with both Johnson and fellow TT racer Joe Akroyd, as last year’s NLR Standard Twins champ Tommy Downes joins the duo.
“We are proud to announce our association with CFMOTO, it is always fantastic to have manufacturer support in our paddock as I believe it shows how important club level racing is for testing and development as well as brand promotion,” said No Limits Racing Managing Director Mark Neate.
“This will be our fourth season featuring a twins championship and it is a class I really enjoy watching and I look forward to following the progress of CFMOTO riders this year.”
UK Clubsport understands that a number of other riders are also poised to take on the Super Twins class with CFMOTO 700s.
