SOUTHERN 100 chairman George Peach has been awarded for his nearly 40 years of service to the Isle of Man’s friendly races.
The club boss was presented with an Illuminated Address by Castletown Commissioners Chairman Colin Leather as he heads into his 38th year of service of the club.
Peach first joined the S100 commitee in 1982, becoming Secretary in 1989 before being promoted to Chairman early last year.
The awarded citation reads:
Presented to George Philip Peach In recognition of his tireless, long and committed public service to Castletown, the Southern 100 Motorcycle Club and the Motor Cycle Community Worldwide.
It is recognised that as a long-standing member of the Southern 100 Club, joining the Southern 100 Committee in 1982 and being appointed in 2018 at the club’s Chairman, being the sixth such appointment since the organisation was inaugurated in 1955, to organise the Billown Circuit Races, known as: The Southern 100 – the ‘friendly Races’
