MMRCI chiefs have revealed what could be the biggest prize ever seen in an Irish pitbike race for this year’s Aghadowey Allstars race.
The newly-revived Mini racing organisation, which held its championship decider this past Saturday, has announced a one-off event this November where Ireland’s top racing stars will go head to head for the Chinese Takeaway – a guaranteed £1000 for the winner and a total prize fund of at least £2000 for the Stock 140 class alone.
The news comes just weeks after MMRCI bosses were at risk of losing their season following an announcement that the rest of the 2019 season would have to be axed.
But after pulling together enough support and personnel to forge ahead, they took on their Summer Series finale this weekend.
The Aghadowey Allstars event, which is set to run on 9 November, will feature separate prize funds for the MiniGP and Open support classes, while special prizes will be available for the Junior Gearbox class. And subject to entries and any extra sponsorship obtained in the run up to the event, the kitty could rise further.
Entries start at just £50, with an extra £30 netting riders the opportunity to fight for the coveted cash prizes.
