TIM Reeves and Kevin Rousseau snatched the opening Molson Group British F1 Sidecar win of the weekend after red flags halted action.
The Bonovo Action machine led much of the race before reigning champions Todd Ellis and Charlie Richardson spun just moments after taking the lead, prompting red flags and a result.
Ellis and Richardson grabbed the holeshot as they slotted in ahead of Steve Kershaw and Ryan Charlwood with Reeves and Rosseau sitting third, but by the end of lap one Reeves had found a way through on the 2018 champ and moved into second.
And it wasn’t long before the former World title holder powered ahead of reigning British F1 title holders Ellis and Richardson, immediately putting almost half a second into the pair while Kershaw and Charlwood dropped nearly a second further back.
But while Reeves looked to be stretching a gap, Ellis and Richardson found a second wind just four laps from the finish as he laid a pass on the Adolf RS1 outfit to move back into the lead with Kershaw and Charlwood closing in third.
It was disaster at the start of lap seven, however, as the Santander Salt outfit of Ellis and Richardson spun out and forced marshals to throw red flags.
With Reeves and Rousseau taking their first win of the season, Kershaw and Charlwood bagged second ahead of former British champ Ricky Stevens and Jonny Allum.
