DAVID Allingham has inked a deal with TAG Racing Honda as the team returns to the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

The 26-year-old, who finished 22nd in the class this season after a challenging campaign, has set his sights on the title after joining the Winfield family-run squad.

Allingham, a former Supersport front runner, has dipped in and out of different series over the past few years – even taking on Superbikes for a short spell – but is determined to turn his fortunes around following an up-and-down 2021.

“I’m absolutely delighted to have signed a deal with the TAG Racing Honda team for the 2022 Pirelli National Superstock campaign,” the Northern Irishman said. “They are a fantastic and professional outfit and I’m really excited to get going.

“Last year was a tough season for me but I feel I showed glimpses of what I can do, I feel with the right package and a solid crew behind me I can be running up the front and challenging for race wins.

“I must say a massive thank you to Rob, Tracy and Gary for giving me this opportunity, it’s a massive chance for me and I can’t wait to give it my all and challenge at the front. I have to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me and that continues to do so, bring on 2022.”
