Moving on up: Hartgrove targets top-10 in Stock 600

In Bemsee, BSB, News

ADAM Hartgrove is targeting top 10s but admits his real goal is to be winning races as he makes the step up from clubs to the National Superstock 600 series.

It won’t be the teenager’s first foray in the British Superbike Championship paddock either – he scored a point by crossing the line 15th in his debut at Brands Hatch at the end of the 2017 season.

After bagging second place overall just behind David Tinkler in the BMCRC’s MRO 600 championship, Hartgrove insists he’s staying pragmatic about his first full season in the BSB support series but knows he wants to be at the sharp end before long.

“Realistically, being in the top 10 and constantly scoring solid points would be a good start,” he told UK Clubsport.

“A podium would be great but the real goal is to be winning races…

“But whatever the outcome, I will still be pleased as this will be my first year in the British Superbike paddock’’

The Northampton rider is also plotting a few rounds of action back with Bemsee as time allows.
