ADAM McLean has revealed a move to McAdoo Racing after it looked like his plans for the 2018 road racing season may be scuppered.
The Northern Irishman’s previous agreement to race with Team IMR ended in a split last night as he parted ways with the Isle of Man-based squad just seven weeks on from signing up.
But McLean has now found a home with the McAdoo Kawasaki/Gortreagh Printing team as he partners Auto 66 and Southern 100 powerhouse James Cowton for a full road racing campaign.
The bosses at MSS Kawasaki, who have previously worked with the 2017 Isle of Man TT Newcomer’s Award winner, are set to build and prepare the team’s stable of ZX-6R and ZX-10RR weaponry.
“I’m over the moon to sign with McAdoo Kawasaki,” McLean said. “I’m sorry it didn’t work out with Team IMR but when the team contacted me today I couldn’t believe I’d got it sorted so quickly.”
“I really enjoyed the Kawasaki bikes last year and I’m happy to be reunited with MSS on the new McAdoo ZX-6R and ZX-10RR. I’m confident we can be successful together and make the next steps in my career. I can’t wait to get started.”
