KNOCKHILL Motor Sports Club has today revealed its five event 2018 race calendar as club chiefs drop hints of a possible endurance race mid-season.
Running exclusively at the Fife circuit, the series will again alternate between the clockwise and anti-clockwise track configurations when the 2018 campaign begins a fortnight after Easter.
Club action will kick off on the second full weekend of April on the clockwise (conventional) layout, followed at the end of May by a round in the reverse direction.
And just two weeks later, racers will welcome a new event – BikeFest featuring Rewind – where competitors could be back on the clockwise layout for non-championship racing and an endurance battle. More details on this event are expected to follow when revealed.
After a nearly two-month break, the series will return for a round on the reverse circuit before the season finale on the first weekend of September in the clockwise direction.
Knockhill rounds that coincide with the Scottish Championship are expected to be announced soon.
KMSC provisional 2018 racing calendar:
April 14-15: Round 1 (clockwise)
May 26-27: Round 2 (reverse)
June 10: BikeFest (clockwise)
July 28-29: Round 3 (reverse)
September 1-2: Round 4 (clockwise)
