Injured Mathison pulls out of Stars at Darley

In Darley Moor, News

DALEY Mathison has been forced to withdraw from this weekend’s Stars at Darley event, as he recovers from injuries sustained at Oliver’s Mount last month.

The roads favourite had initially planned to contest Darley Moor’s flagship event with his Eddie Stobart Racing team, but confirmed on social media that he won’t be taking part.

“Due to injuries sustained at The Gold Cup, the team are unfortunately unable to attend this weekend’s Stars at Darley Moor event,” he said.

“Can we please take this opportunity to reiterate to everyone, our appreciation for your continued support.”

Mathison suffered ligament damage in both ankles in the crash at the Scarborough track almost a fortnight ago, and is currently recovering at home.
