CRMC announces 2018 race calendar

CLASSIC Racing Motorcycle Club officials have announced a cut from next year’s racing calendar by revealing the seven-round 2018 series.

In a bid to inform racers as early as possible, the CRMC hope that publishing next season’s provisional calendar as early as possible will help competitors plan accordingly to make the entire series.

Instead of kicking off the year as they did in 2017 at Snetterton, the club heads to Pembrey Circuit in Wales on Easter weekend, followed four weeks later by a trip to the Norfolk track for a run out on the 200 circuit.

Racers then head to Oulton Park for a round on Saturday and the following Spring Bank Holiday Monday, but will not compete Saturday as the Cheshire circuit does not allow two consecutive days of action.

After a break in June, the series travels to Darley Moor, Donington Park and Mallory Park in July, August and September, respectively, ahead of its Race of the Year at Cadwell on the first weekend of October.

CRMC provisional 2018 race calendar:

31 March – 1 April – Round 1: Pembrey Circuit

28-29 April – Round 2: Snetterton 200

26 May, 28 May – Round 3: Oulton Park

7-8 July – Round 4: Darley Moor

3-5 August – Round 5: Donington Park

8-9 September – Round 6: Mallory Park

6-7 October – Round 7: Cadwell Park
