Cook secures Red Bull Rookies Cup place

In International, News

MAX Cook has emerged from this year’s Red Bull Rookies Cup trials as one of the 10 riders who will take on the famous championship next season.

Mixed conditions met the Rookies Cup competitors at the Circuit Almeria in the south of Spain this week, and the trials eventually brought the field down from 109 on the opening two days to 49 on the final day and 10 at the end of the event.

Just two years on from becoming the youngest ever Thundersport Aprilia Superteens champion, the Swindon teenager is the only British rider to make it through this week’s final selection process for the 2018 series.

The news comes just weeks after Cook was crowned 2017 Hel Performance British Motostar Moto3 Standard class champion.
