CLASSIC and vintage solos and sidecars are heading to Lydden Hill this weekend for the penultimate round of the British Historic Racing (BHR) series.

The series rolls into the Kent circuit for the two day event this Saturday and Sunday (August 18 and 19) promising a packed weekend of action on and off the track.

When UK Clubsport rules the world, we’re going to make scooter racing part of the National Curriculum…

The usual mix of solos and sidecars will be battling it out for the honours, with classes including the BSA Bantam and Ducati championships, BEARS class and the Racing 50s Club.

The popular BSSO British Scooter Championship will also be back, which will see the Italia Casa Lambretta race team back with four riders.

The event looks set to feature busy grids with a number of riders returning to action having missed previous rounds.

Aside from the race action, visitors can be entertained with a handful of parades, and there will be a BBQ and live music on Saturday evening.

There will be more than 20 races each day, and action is set to get underway with practice at around 9am on Saturday.
