Three classes for two strokes

In Bemsee, News

BEMSEE has announced a new catch-all two-cycle category that will run chain smokers in three subclasses beginning next year.

The aptly named ‘Blue Haze Grand Prix’ (BHGP) will run together, but score separately, the popular Yamaha Past Masters, Road Based, and GP classes, giving a place for everyone with premix.

While the Yamaha Past Masters category retains the regulations from this year, GP has open regulations for any grand-prix-based machinery, while Road Based (you guessed it) will run race-converted motorcycles originally intended for road use.

The two new classes within Blue Haze will also be eligible to run slick, treaded, or rain tyres.

Although we would be impressed if you found one, no fuel injection systems are allowed.

For more information on the new-for-2017 BHGP series running with the British Motorcycle Racing Club, see the following bulletin or visit the club’s website.
